WebDec 17, 2024 · I've dry hopped in serving keg for my English IPA several times. Seems to yield better long term results with leaf hops (can't get leaf EKG at this time ). I did get the corny keg lids with the tab welded on the underside along with the 'hop balls' that will hold an ounce of pellet in them.

Looking at the recipe, it seem as though two weeks from brew to keg is normal for this beer. Seems a little short to me but if that's what he recommends then I'd go ahead and give it a shot. WebOct 15, 2024 · This is because if there is any yeast in suspension, once you cold crash (or keg), the yeast will drop and with it bring the hop oils. To avoid this, utilize a soft crash at 58F once fermentation is complete then dry hop. Some don't even bother with a cold crash for this style. WebMay 23, 2024 · FWIW, I recently loose dry hopped 20 oz of pellet hops in an 11 gallon batch and didn’t have any ball lock poppet clogs/gunk transfer with the previously mentioned dip tube filter after 2 days on cold crash. The beer was still cloudy due to the dry hop charge so I transferred it to serving kegs and dosed it with biofine to really clear things up.
WebAug 23, 2016 · Solve with pH meter and lactic acid. Sparging cold may fix it too. Or doing full volume mash and taking the 20-40% efficiency hit because a thin mash dilutes enzymes too much. Next likely is it can be caused by not removing yeast before dry hopping. Yeast stuck to hop oils tastes nasty.
